Located at coastal area of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province and covering an area of about 100 square kilometers, Zhangzhou Coastal Volcano National Geology Park is unique in China. Represented by four kinds of volcano remnants that are rarely seen in the world, and having kept down the eruption vestige of typical central-type volcanoes in the tertiary epoch and the weathered marine abrasion landform of later period, the scenic zone is of multidisciplinary scientific research value for geological structure, volcanology, ancient geography etc. In 2001, it was awarded "National Geology Park".  

 

 

 

 

1. The Scenic Zone of Zhangpu-Linjinyu Coastal Volcano

 

Belonging to subtropical maritime climate，like spring all the year round，and with perennial average temperature of 21℃, the scenic zone is the best choice for vacation tour. There is not only the natural scenic beauty of volcano landform rarely seen in the world, but also a great variety of abundant seafood to savor. 

 

 

2. Ancient Crater on Niutou Mountain

 

As a vestige of volcano eruption and remaining in good condition, Ancient Crater on Niutou Mountain is suited to be developed as an ancient crater museum. Mountain, stones, sea, blue sky, sand beach and other various views here constitute a miniature of the nature. 

 

       

3. South Taiwu Mountain

 

South Taiwu Mountain here and North Taiwu Mountain of Kinmen faces each other across a great distance, and they are known to be "Sister Mountains". To the overseas Chinese born in Zhangzhou, South Taiwu Mountain is a symbol of hometown, and a synonym for motherland. Fuxing Temple on South Taiwu Mountain with burning incense all the year round, is the "the Holy Land" for emigrants from home and abroad to rest their sense of home and belonging.
